Question Automatic "log off" or "shut down"

Hi! I have an Alienware m15x with a gtx 260m and is operating on a windows 7 operating system. I have been using it for almost 3 years now but recently, my laptop kept on logging off then shuts down after quite a few seconds or minutes, somrtimes it performs the same process even while on the "accounts" screen (guest,profile1,etc.)

Btw... it says "unknown software exception (0xc06d007e) occured on the location 0x7799b727" in a prompt message

You laptop might be overheating, or got its system files corrupted.

• When you enter BIOS and stay there, does it restart / shutdown?
• If you boot Windows DVD/USB, and stay on the installation screen, does it restart / shutdown?

It will be probably the easiest for you to bring your laptop to a service shop where it can be diagnosed.
