Question Bad CD Rom ?

My PC was freezing at random times, When the CD Rom is disconnected (Nothing plugs onto the CD Rom), The problem seems to be gone ! Is it a bad CD Rom ? It still works

Some software might be looking for something "forgotten" on a CD.

Could it be a bad CD Rom ? Freezing problem is gone after the CD Rom is unplugged
