Bad CPU read??

Need some help guys!!!!!!!!

I have just together a system with an AMD Athlon XP 2600 with an ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard, but after installing everything the CPU shows up as 1.04G, I thought it would be about 2.2G at least!!
Is this normal or have I done something wrong??

Set the FSB to 333 and the Mult to 10.5

Your chip has the multiplier fixed, so you wont be able to change it from 10.5. At present your fsb is set to 100 (100 X 10.5 = 1050) Set it to 166. Hmm 1.75 sounds like a sempron.

Thanks guys, I changed the FSB to 166 and that worked!! and yes the multiplier was fixed at 11.5 so I couldn't change it, but all seems fine now.
