As a matter of fact, I rock. I think that you're right by thinking that I should do as Endyen said: Pat don't give up, never give up. I'll try to give you one more and retire with dignity. It is a good thing that we got that sorted out, I understand that I might not be able to get in, so I may have to give up...

Ok I’ll give it a shot

Wakeup ogling Paul Otellini poster over bed.
Repeat to self over and over “damn he’s hot”
Make breakfast “Hot Cakes”
Put on Clean Room/Fire Retardant Suit. (Emphasis on the Retarded)
Boot computer
Count Hyperthreaded processors
Count Gigahertz
Do Intel dance
Take off Retard suit because room is too hot.
Do google search for “Hot Nude Paul Otellini” pics. (find none)
Open 3d model Paul Otellini in Hot Pants. (been designing for over a year)
Render and put on Adult Diaper. 😳
Post Trash
Go to bed.

[for good]Yeah.. I give out everything I had for that one.. [/trolling]

[spamming] As a matter of fact, I rock. I think that you were right by thinking that I should do as you said: Pat don't give up, never give up. I've try to give you one more and retire with dignity. I did it. It is a good thing that we got that sorted out, I understand that I might not be able to get in again, so I may have to give up for good...

Lets see:

1. Turn on computer
2. Praise AMD 3500 empty box shrine
3. Print out pictures of intel product and use as toilet paper
4. Return to playing kick-ass games on moderately advanced gaming system
5. Realize current intel product is not advanced as they claim and maybe when they come out with a good product I'll buy it
6. Forget to check temps
7. Shut down

Why does everyone have to turn on their computer in the morning? My ritual is:

1) pretend to wake up.
2) stare at blank screen because I'm not awake enough yet to see that the screen is blank.
3) move mouse and realize the computer has been on 24/7 for at least 18 months (whoops - I replaced a PSU in the spring - more like 9 mos...).
4) praise whoever invented ICs.
5) Look at Intel system right beside AMD system - both work, WOW!

Mike.

That's about my ritual too. Other than some UPS problems that I've been having (which actually looks like it was the UPS software causing the problems now) my system is pretty much up 24/7/however many weeks in a row I can manage.

And that's an Intel P4 in a case with aural damping material, two low speed fans, a special low-noise PSU, and a passively cooled CPU heatsink, running two instances of F@H whenever the system is idle, at about a 41C CPU temp. 😱

(Which reminds me, I still have to try undervolting my CPU some time. And maybe this Yule I'll throw a 3rd party passive heatsink onto my GF6600GT.)

My AMD Opteron’s and AMD Athlon 64's Render in Max all day... they outperform the Mac heads here at work along with 2 Opteron Dual Core systems smack 8 Intel 3.4 Xeons in a rendering farm. I think you have facts all wrong....

I use to run Intel and had the same mind set against AMD but than I was shown the light! I will never go back, Intel runs to hot and they are just slow....

I have a few AMD High end systems that just are unstoppable “Well 12 in all”

Everyday life of a Intel user:

Boots up computer....
Still waiting for windows......................
Still waiting windows.............................
Oh windows Logo screen...
Still waiting........ Yeah I’m in windows................
Computer freezes as CPU is to hot...................................
Blue Screen of Death.....................
Restart computer..........................
Go back to top and continue......^
