I have the assembled the following Rig recently:
E6750
Asus P5B Deluxe
Galaxy GeForce 7900GS superclocked(PCIe)
2GB transcend RAM.
Antec earthwatts ea 500W
Seagate 320GB SATA
Sony DVD Writer.

Now the problem:
I have my graphics card seated in the blue slot(16X).
When I start the PC, during POST the I get the following beep pattern.
1 long beep followed by 3 short beeps (Twice)
and then its starts normally here after wo any problems. If I put the card
in the black slot(4X) the beeps are absent, But I think I wont b able to get
the best out of my card in the Black Slot.I went thru the mobo doc and
found that the beep code signifies problem with the Graphics card. I have
tried reseating the card n number of times but it doesnt help. I have even
updated the BIOS version to the latest one(1612) but the problem persists.

Some help from u experts will be appreciated a lot. :D

Thanks in Advance.

At least on my SLI ASUS board, and I would guess on most, there is a particular slot to use if you're only using one card. Also make sure SLI is shut off in the BIOS

The bios beeps mean
1 Long, 3 Short : Video adapter failure : Bad video adapter or memory. Which in short its your card isnt able to run in the x16. Be it a card problem or a slot prob. If either are under warrenty send them back. Try your card in a mates rig and his card in yours, its the fastest way for you to tell if its slot or card.
Thats me assuming you have Award BIOS?
Let us know if it sorts it.
