[SOLVED] Behringer U-Phoria UM2 PC not receiving audio input

Hi, I am running a Windows 10 system for background info. I have had the Behringer U-Phoria UM2 audio interface for around a year, it has been wonderful and has only had a slight annoying issue, but it was an easy fix. Randomly the audio output would go out, and I would have to reinstall the manufacturer's drivers to get it back working. It only happened whenever I would unplug the device. However, this time my audio input from both inputs does not work but the audio output does. I know it is not a problem with the inputs them self, because in the direct monitor I can still hear them. I'm not sure how it happened, I just restarted my PC and suddenly my audio input just was not working.

Here are the steps I have already taken:
  • Uninstalled the driver, unplugged the device, restarted the PC, plugged in the device, and installed the manufacturer's drivers.
  • Tried different USB ports
  • Turned it off and on again, multiple times.
It is not an issue with my PC receiving audio inputs because my webcam mic still pics up audio.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have solved the issue. If anyone has the same issue here is what I did:

  1. Make sure that the device is uninstalled no matter what USB you plug it in.
  2. Restart your PC.
  3. Install the Manufacturer's drivers (which prompts a restart).
  4. Right-click on your volume icon in the taskbar.
  5. Select "Troubleshoot Sound Problems" and select the audio interface.
  6. Don't open enhancements.
  7. Play test sounds.
  8. Even if you can hear the test sounds, click one of the options that prompts you to re-install the driver.
  9. After the driver re-installs the issue should be resolved.
