What are some good benchmarks to run for burning in and testing a new PC? (In my case a P4 + DX8 video.)

So far I've downloaded Prime95, 3DMark2001SE, 3DMark2003 (I know a DX8 card won't do well on it since it's oriented at DX9, but what the hey), PCMark2002, SiSoft Sandra, and Memtest86-3.0.

Mostly I just want programs that'll help me identify any flaws in the system such as insufficient cooling, RAM errors, bad power, or just too much 'tweaking'.

Has anyone written a program that accesses all available drives, plays sound, runs intensive 3D, and runs hard processor crunching all simultaneously to check for max drain on the power supply?

i would immagine that playing an intensive game would be the best way to test every aspect of your system at once.
I agree, but right now the closest that I have to an 'intensive' game is Morrowind. Heh heh heh. :) If that's any test though, so far my stability rocks.

I usually just use sandra's burn-in wizard (leave running for something like 200 Runs), and/or leave 3dmark2001/03 looping for a few hours, to stress the GPU. actually, you'd be able to leave sandra running while running the 3dmark Demo and playing an MP3. that'd stress the hell out of it I reckon....
