Question Bent socket pins on MSI Z87-G43, can they short short circuit?

Hello, Like the title implies I bought an MSI Z87-G43 with the CPU and memory already attached to the mobo. When it arrived I cleaned it and put it in a case and fired it up, the CPU fan pulsed once and turn off for good, tried once more. Same result. I proceed to test multiple PSUs but nothing worked.

Eventually, I took off the cooler and CPU and I saw a broken pin the pin was bent badly it looks like it may be touching another pin, could this have short-circuited and destroyed components like CPU, MOBO, or RAM?

It's not broken in the picture. Needs to be straightened.

Or did you try to straightening it and it broke off?

Sorry my bad phrased myself incorrectly, It's only bent. My question is if it may have short-circuited anything by touching another pin.

Fix it and try to start your pc.
