Solution
The Phenom series is worse that the Athlon II series. You will want a Phenom II x4-x6 for gaming. For low-med gaming, x2-x3 is good. If I were you, I would get an hd6850 is you want to play new games, and future games all maxed out with that res. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127566&cm_re=hd6850-_-14-127-566-_-Product good card right there. PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341039&cm_re=OCZ_600w-_-17-341-039-_-Product I own that PSU and it is good. OCZ makes pretty solid PSUs and it is 600w. I heard that it can go 700w, but I wouldn't test it.
well well well well...... u guys are really doing a good job...wish u all were nearby i wud have thrown a party to u guys.... :) and i wud get the hd 6850 for sure and processor again i have a confusion btwn athlon x2 and phenom x2....i want the one which is future proof for games and nothing else and it shud work on my mobo and pc..... i have presently 2 gb of ddr2 ram transcend and i wud upgrade it to 4gb i suppose.

i have 2 sticks 1 gb each of ddr2 transcend ram and its havin lifetime warranty, hostiledonut thx for the option but as i said i dont want to take the risk as u are 99.99% sure, i dont want to take any chances cuz i want be able to fix it for a long time if it doesn't work for me.

Well, then he wouldn't get dual channel. I would rather have 4gb dual channel than 6gb single channel.

let me look out for it....and one more thing where my home is has a very high temperature climate...so the hd 6850 wud be ok operating at 60 c temp ? cuz my pc reaches that temp....and sometimes more than that.
