Please keep it to 1 thread
What is truly the best one? I can't find any place that compares them all

Hyper 212 evo
Hyper 212 evo v2
Hyper 212 Black Edition
Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition
Etc.

Looking to replace the stock Ryzen 5 5600x Cooler. Thing is garbage

Solution
the 5600x will stay below 100w easy so a 212 evo would be ample to keep it cool. i have a 3600x system that can hit about 95w if i torture test it with PBO on and a similar cooler has no problems keeping up with it.

i would look some though as there are some 200w coolers that are in the same price range. i'd have to look up the models though as i don't recall them off the top of my head. but you would be fine with a 150w 212 evo if you go that route.

edit: the deepcool Gammax 400 is a 180w cooler and would give PBO a bit more room to flex itself.

I would suggest the deepcool Gammax 400. I have had the standard 212 evo for my 955 black and the Gammax is now cooling my Ryzen. I prefer the Gammax 400.
of those listed I suggest (unless color is a MUST) an unpainted unfinished surface. less between the fins and the cooling air.

212 v 2 reviews show its better than the black

I doubt you could get first one as new anyway but performance wise it's same as V2 which is just modified so it can use higher RAM sticks.
The other 2 are identical save for RGB lights and performance wise all are within couple of % of each other.
New and improved Cooler Master air coolers are called "Masterair". Older ones must be some warehouse/store leftovers.

they are all roughly 150w coolers. i've not seen anything to suggest one is "better" than the others. might get a degree or 2 cooler from one to the next but there is no major difference between them overall.

you'll want to list the pc specs if you wish for us to offer some options if you need more cooling power. they work fine for many cpu's but as noted above anything intel or high end amd will need better cooling than this.

The 212X it don't have the gaps between the heat pipes on the plate.
