Best Graphics Shooter game?

Hello everyone,

I just finished putting together my new computer and I'm excited to test it out on a new game. All i have right now is WarCraft III and UT2004. I want another first person shooter, as ut2004 isn't pushing my computer at all. I was thinking maybe doom3, quake4, or half-life 2, but I dont know which one has the best graphics. I'm pretty easy to please game-play wise, so I'm really primarily concerned about the eye candy

So if anyone has suggestions from the games I listed or others that I didn't, please let me know!

Avoid the first two - the eye candy is not great, plus the gameplay (at least in Doom 3) is dreadful.

Go with HL2 or FEAR.

BF2 is hands down the best FPS out there right now. Eye candy at its finest! 😉 :twisted:

BTW Forgotten Hope 2 will be better than BF2 imo, less of that arcadey 4 shots to kill someone BS but set in WW2. Also check out the reality mod for BF2.

I'd say you can't go wrong with BF2 or HL2.

If you really want to give your rig a run for its money, there's always Oblivion. It kind of gets repetitive after awhile but its great to look at. Also, if you're into flight sims, Lock On: Modern Air Combat is a particularly system intensive one and it can be a lot of fun for serious simulation conoisseurs.

2142 is awful. BF2 is great. WOW( you should probaly stare at a wall).

I wouldn't recommend 2142 either. BF2 and HL2 will be better option.
