I'm looking for a monitor for my build (I have yet to buy the CPU/GPU, but I'll be getting the 5900x and the 3080 FE once they're in stock), and am debating on whether I should spend an extra $70-$90 on a 1440p monitor (as opposed to a 1080p one).
Here's the 1080p monitor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TNM8L6S?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

I've heard good things about 1440p, and seeing as I'm getting a 3080, I figured I might as well get a decent monitor. There's a few things I'm not sure about with the 1440p monitor, however:

- It doesn't support G-Sync (although I've read that you can use Adaptive-Sync with NVidia cards, not sure how much of a difference there is between the two)
- It's a curved monitor (I'm not sure how big a 1500R curve is; I know it would be great for gaming, but I'm not sure how well it would work for general work/web browsing/etc.)
- It's 27" as opposed to 24" (the monitor I currently use is 21.5", so I'm not exactly sure how big/comfortable a 27" monitor would be to use)
- The price (obviously)
