I believe the gtx 660 will be a good choice, it really depends on if you're a nvidia fan boy or a amd fan boy .. or girl. To be honest the only reason why nvidia beats amd is physX it does improve your gaming experience because you're looking at amazing realistic gameplay but than again do you want to spend a little bit more for it?

my choice would be the gtx 660 but if you don't care about the little bit more effects you can always get the 7850.. thats if you want physX

Note: PhysX in only enabled in games such as Batman Arkham Asylum, diablo 3, Borderlands 2 (best looking) and metro 2033..

You could atleast put physX on low settings and be able to play smoothly but yeah it just comes down with your choice...

Since you're already a AMD user i would get the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102999

SAPPHIRE are well known for their cooling systems and being cool means more overclocking ;)

but ! for the gtx 660 part the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127696

really dominates it by far.. and you can play physX with no problems :) also you can overclock the 660 much more than the 7850 due to msi.. they unclocked the voltage on the card so you can over volt it, meaning more overclocking you can even overclock it and be better than the reference 670 :)

i also know that that gtx 660 and hd 7870 are better than hd 7850.i had reccomend hd 7850 because of his buget.hd 7850 is best gpu under $200.

7850's overclock better than 660's by far... it about an avg of 40% oc on the AMD side and 25% on the Nvidia.

I agree but i was just trying to give him best performance card at stock for 20$ or so more than his budget. The card has a 20$ rebate anyways so its technically within the budget.

If you can afford then gtx660,else hd7850.But if you can extend your budget somewhat then get hd7870.
As far as PhysX is concerned it is used in few games and it is used properly in very few games. And those effects on debris and all aren't that enticing to everybody. Not to mention there are other physics calculation engine such as havok which would work well irrespective of the GPU vendor as it uses CPU mainly. For me though Physx is not a big deal because as there are other physics engine and gameplay is not changed by it considerably, also it takes a hit on fps.
