BF3 freeze after round ends

Hello!

Playing bf3 online, and after and hour or two, after the map has ended and stats are finished showing, the game will freeze as it goes to load the next map. The screen goes black, like it is about to fade into the loading screen, the mouse cursor comes up, and it freezes. Ctrl-alt-delete doesn't even respond, needing a forced restart.

I'm running 1280x1024 (monitor max, need a new one), maxed out graphics. Win 7 64-bit updated, fresh install 4 days ago.

i7 3770, 16gb ram, gtx660ti 2gb, 2tb hd runs at 150fps (fraps) easily during combat. I don't think it's the desktop struggling, any solutions??

You have a pretty good set up there. So I don't think it's a hardware issue. Sounds like a problem with some of the game files. Check if there's a patch for it. If this has happened to others, there will probably be a patch for it. If it's happening to JUST you, then you have some corrupted game files, in which case you have to reinstall it.

I got the same problem after nvidia drivers update to 331.58

right click the game on Origin and select repair install. Might take a while but it is like Steam validating all of the game files and fixing anything wrong

Happens to me all the time. Usually when the server is switching to a map of a different expansion pack.
It looks frozen, but there is really a modal dialog box from Windows reporting that 'BF3 has stopped working. Click here to close' You can see it only if you can find a way to drag the dialog box to another monitor. Or you can just hit Enter to let windows close the app. But I haven't found a solution yet.

I went back to drivers 327.23 and problems dissapeared everything smooth and clean graphics... yesterday Nvidia announced their new drivers 331.65, then I decided to install it, but things got even worse than 331.58 because this time in BF3 made my PC crash and restart itself after a blue screen. hope this helps someone else...
