Bios, mobo, psu problems? help please

Ok so i just got my motherboard back and I am having problems again. my last mobo quit loading up. So now I am having the following problems randomly:

Blue screen once a dayish randomly.
somewhere in cpu-fan is making a noise.
Im monitoring the mobo and cpu. cpu gets to 45c and mobo does too.
sometimes bios wont load and i cant start windows so i have to wait a while
sometimes bios loads then right after loads again and goes into an infinite loop.


So im thinking the mobo either has a defect or the PSU isn't enough power (520w). Here is my system specs:

4GB 800 DDR2 SDram
AMD Phenom™ 9600 Quad-Core Processor
NVIDIA Nforce 750a SLI Motherboard
Geforce GTX 260 graphics card
HX520W corsair PSU
Vista 64
ASUS nforce 750a M3N72-d

I would start off eliminating the RAM as the problem. Your problems are often caused by RAM issues. What is the exact model of your RAM? Did you manually set the RAM speed/timings/voltage in the BIOS? If you haven't, you should. Have you run memtest86+ overnight to test for RAM errors?

Do a Memcheck or try different RAM.

I did memtest86 for 18 hrs. NO errors. I have 6 fans in my case, only 3 of them are on. When I add another, windows won't load, sometimes the bios wont even load. So I am sticking with 3 for now. So im confused...

What is the exact model of your RAM? We need a little more than "4GB 800 DDR2 SDram ".

The 520HX is a nice PSU, but it's cutting it pretty close with a GTX 260. If your system really becomes unstable when you add a fan, you might be running at the limits of your PSU. I currently run the 520HX in my computer and love it, but I'd never think of trying to power a GTX 260 with it.

Yea, that RAM is rated at 5-5-5-15 timings @ 2.2v.

The 850TX is a very nice PSU. It will have plenty of power for even SLI GTX 260's.

ok so I have eliminated ram and the CPU, and there is a good chance it is the PSU. but i just got my mobo back from asus and i'm sure it is refurbished. so Any thoughts?

Do a little math on the wattage that ur components are consuming, there's a probability that u are exceeding the wattage that ur PSU can handle.
(forgot where i saw this wattage calculation)

Motherboard: 15W-30W (if it's a high-end mobo, better to assume that it's using 25-30W)
Mid-High End CPU : 40W-100W (AMD PQ4 9600 is 95W)
RAM: 7W/128MB (in ur case 4GB or 4096MB will consume 224W)
High-End GPU: 60W-100W (but in ur case GTX 260 is consuming 185W at maximum)
IDE Hard Drive: 10W-30W (per IDE hdd)
Optical HDD: 10W-25W (per Optical hdd)

with that just above u are already consuming from 569W-589W assuming that u have only 1 IDE hard drive and 1 Optical Hard drive. Also every PCI add-in card will also add 5W.
