Question Bios update wont work (id error)

You are trying to update the BIOS on an OEM version of a Gigabyte motherboard, with an aftermarket BIOS intended for use with an aftermarket board that does not have the Y1 designation. They are not compatible.

IF a BIOS update is possible, it will likely come through whoever that board was build for and sold by as part of a prebuilt system.

What is the EXACT, FULL model of the prebuilt system this came in and what was the name of the brand that machine was sold to you under? Was it ABS?

Yes it was ABS

Then you will likely have to get any BIOS updates through ABS. I've seen several threads on this exact subject in the past, and in every one of those instances they had to deal directly with ABS regarding BIOS updates for that board.

Any idea what the exact prebuilt model of that unit was? If you don't have it registered for warranty with ABS or have original proof of purchase, they may not be willing to deal with you at all. Another reason to avoid this cheap crappy company whenever possible.
