[SOLVED] Black Screen After Restart! Vega 56 Driver Update

After i attempted multiple times to update my red dragon Vega 56 driver through powercooler or amd, it downloads, asks me whether to complete a express install or not, I agree, restarts, then a black screen. I then have to go into safe mode and uninstall the driver through DDU.

Any idea how to solve this issue?

Should also add if I choose not to restart after download is complete, MSI Afterburner picks up the GPU data. It is just after a restart that I get the black screen.

Which Power supply unit do you actually have ? Have you tried doing a CLEAN re-install of the GPU drivers as well ? Use the DDU tool, and do it in safe mode.

I should add that this Vega 56 is an open-box from Microcenter. I am pretty much a noob to this so I'll try to do that on the DDU tool!

Alright I am back. I can report it did not work unfortunately. Black screen after reboot.

Erm .. I took out one of the display ports from the monitor and it worked? ODD
