Hello, over the past six months or so I have been battling an issue with my PC. While playing graphics intensive games, specifically RDR2, AC Mirage, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, at higher settings, my monitor will lose signal, any connected devices receive a continuous stream of info from the last input (Speakers produce a consistent hum, controller continues to vibrate at constant strength ect). While troubleshooting, I found the following observations;
> GPU and CPU were not overheating, neither really reach above 65 - 70 degrees
>The power draw from the GPU at Mathe moment of crash is not constant, sometimes ranging from 160W - 260W.
>There is no apparent drop in voltage, clock frequency’s, utilisation ect.
>PC must be hard reset to turn back on
>During gaming, I have never noticed any visual artefacts, or signs of dying GPu
>PC passed Heaven benchmark with flying colours, no crashes or artefacts
>Following crash, PC boots up fine
>Briefly, I found a stream of WHEA Error code 17 in event viewer, however a fix I applied (disabling PCIe native control) stopped this without stopping crashes.
My specs are as follows;
>AMD Rx6800XT
>Intel I9-10900f
>Gigabyte B560m DV2
> 32Gb unknown RAM
>850W PSU (again brand unknown, but problem started before installing)
Previous attempts to fix
>Reinstall Windows
>Undervolt GPU
>replace PSU
>Reseat GPU and Ram
>Update BIOS
>Change about a thousand different settings, including disabling the PCI Express native control
>Ensured PC power cable was reliable, and connected to its own circuit
Thank you for any feedback or suggestions. It is very late where I live so I will probably not respond until later
