Hello, I am using the EVGA GTX 750 ti (EVGA094 REV 2.0) card.
This card has no power supply plug and was working fine so far.

I've tried to get rid of the fan noise (known problem) by installing some other firmware.
By accident I have installed one for some board that requires the additional 6 pin power, which I can't provide due to the missing plug and components on the board.

Now I have the following situation:
  • when I boot with the EVGA plugged, boot sequence stops with the message "Please Power Down and Connect the PCIe Power Cable(s) for this Graphics Card" before I reach the Bios setup
  • when I boot without the EVGA and hot plug it later, Windows 10 (with my Intel DH77DF mainboard) does not recognize the device, neither does nvflash

I still can boot with the integrated graphics as long as the EVGA is not plugged.

Are there any options to skip the power test or to ignore the test result ?
Alternatively, can I recognize the hot plugged card with some more advanced tool than the Windows device manager ?
The idea is, of course, to flash the device with its original firmware.

Thanks for you help.
K

Briefly went through it and looks promising. Just maybe can reflash it.

Thanks,
is there any reason why

Thanks boju. That helped alot. Here is what I had to do:
  1. Download rufus and create a bootable Freedos on a USB stick
  2. Dowload nvflash 5.163 for DOS and copy both files included in the zip to the stick
  3. Copy the good firmware to the stick
  4. reboot and change boot options in the BIOS
    1. from UEFI to legacy
    2. allow to boot from removable drive/USB
  5. shutdown
  6. insert broken graphics card
  7. boot from USB
    1. ignore partition errors
  8. run nvflash -6 goodfirmware.rom
    1. confirm whatever needs to be confirmed
  9. reboot and change boot options back to normal
Best regards
