Heyo!

Is this normal?
I think I am booting from my m.2 ssd (because windows boots up pretty fast) but my bios says that my HDD is the boot manager.
I recently got an UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP so that's why I am asking :)

Thanks in advance!

If you had both the SSD and HDD connected when the OS was installed, it's not uncommon to end up with the boot manager on a secondary drive.

Nothing you can do to revert that though, short of removing the HDD and reinstalling Windows to the SSD.

The BSOD is unlikely to be related to the boot managers location though...

Heya!

Perhaps it's just installed on a fast HDD? Or like Barty1884 said.

If you can get into your BIOS and go to the BOOT options and check in which order they are ( or provide a picture here ) then you can check.
If it has a list of multiple devices, it'll use the first one which is availlable, if not it'll try to use the next one, and so on...

I hope this helps out.
Cheers!
