boot problems

I having problems with my new build, I'll list all the components.
Board - Asus P5B Deluxe
Chip - Core 2 Duo 6600
PSU - OCZ 700 watt
Video - 8800 gts
HSF - Artic Cooler Pro 7
HD - Samsung 400g
RAM - Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400

Now I know people have been having problems with this mobo and ram before and I dunno if that is my problem here. This is what happens, I turn it on and it runs for a few seconds and then shuts down, it then(without me doing anything) starts running again. But I get no display. So I can't even enter the BIOS. Can anyone give me some help on this problem?

Do you get one short beep on startup?

If not, strip it down to basics until you do, and then rebuild from there, one item at a time, rebooting every time.
