Once I tried to do recover default vista settings as I was getting lots of problems. I did a Vista DVD boot and later I found some eroor cropping up. Then I tried to boot again through vista DVD but I am getting a "bootmgr is missing" and Press CTL+ALT+DEL to restart. Now I am not even able to boot with vista DVD again. It gives me again the dreaded "bootmgr is missing" and Press CTL+ALT+DEL. Please help

This is on Toshiba satellite A205-4467 laptop, 160 GB HD.
Earlier I made 3 partitions on it using vista's default partition utility. C drive has Vista32 and I installed XP on e drive.

hey homeboy
you got to go in your bios by presing F2, delete, etc.
and in boot sequence you got to set the system to boot form cd rom as #1 and disable everything else but mainly make it #1 to boot from cd-dvd rom
! i was unable to even boot windows vista untill i disabled the hard disk boot and floppy boot. so try it out it worked for me

i just had the same issue and after mucking around in the bios still no go...

i then disconnected dvd drive, reconnected and all worked fine from then on...
