With all this talk about how everything is changing with the Intel 775 launch, why are we not also hearing about BTX form factor?? What's holding that back and why isn't Intel using it for this 'all new' launch?

You think Dell will use it at all? Their current clamshell towers don't use ATX.

Now is a good time for dell to start changing their cases. The accountants have complained that the current cases, though user friendly and easy for assemblers to work with, are too costly. They will certainly use some btx specs with new motherboards. They don't like heat any more than we do.

I don't know about that: Their current motherboards in the clamshell cases are extremely similar to ATX boards, but use 5 slots instead of the standard 4 or 7, with a nonstandard backplate, and nonstandard mounting holes. They could easily ruin BTX in the same manner!
