Built In Mic.

I Have A Dell Inspiron 1521 That Runs With Windows Vista And The Computer Itself ,Skype/Oovoo Will Not Recognize My Built In Mic. And Ive Been Trying Everything Posible To Get It Working Because The Computer Says That Its Working Properly But Its Not........

Can Anyone Please Help Me???

A link to the 1521 manual. Maybe someone knows bettter, but In 'control panel' under 'sound' is there a microphone listed there. If so be sure to enable the microphone. Or open device manager and if a microphone is listed in DM be sure the driver is installed and the hardware is enabled.

if you go into control panel - hardware and sound - sound - recording

right click on microphone array and click "enable" and then "set as default communication device"

then right click on "microphone/line in" and click "disable"

that should work!
