Bulldozer?

When the heck is this new CPU and microarchitecture from AMD supposed to come out? How come there is so little information available about it? Intel already has the quad-core variants of the Sandy Bridge on retail shelves, what is AMD waiting for?

The Phenom II's were very mediocre, I hope they get it right this time and par or slightly surpass the performance of Intel's Nehalems. I doubt the Bulldozer will give the SB a run for it's money.

There are plenty of threads on this no need for more but I will tell you why AMD is waiting and keeping a tight lip.

Phenom I was bragged about. It came out and lost to, at the time, a year old quad core they stated was inferior to theirs. They then proceedd to lose a ton of money.

They are keeping it tight to their chest to avoid too much hype and as well taking their time to make sure it wont be another Phenom I. They couldn't survive another let-down like that.
