How do I find documents and settings to change the start programs?

if you want remove anything from startup then go system configuration utility by using msconfig in rum prompt.

if you want add some programs the use
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

If you want to remove programs from the startup folder, go to start-->programs-->startup folder-->right click and delete unwanted programs from there. It won't delete the file/program, only stop it from starting up with windows.
