[SOLVED] Can Asus H170 Pro motherboard BIOS be updated to be compatible with Intel i5-9600k processor?

Thought I had a good idea of everything as far as upgrading goes, then I went in to try my new CPU, and my PC doesn't turn on lol.
I'm pretty sure after some research that it's the motherboard being incompatible. I don't know if updating motherboards is a thing, or if it's just in need of an upgrade. Any help is appreciated!

Best CPU you can put on that board is a i7-7700K. You were right. 9600K is not compatible with this board.

Not officially supported.

There are some work arounds but they are not straight forward nor guaranteed to work.

Get a 300 series board.
