On the ASUS site it says that an ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming motherboard "supports DisplayPort with max. resolution 4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz."

Will this motherboard support 144Hz at 1440p (2560 x 1440)?

This is the max resolution your CPU integraded graphics can support (HDMI 4096x2304 @24 Hz DP 4096x2304 @60 Hz eDP 4096x2304 @60 Hz ) . You listed that you have a 2080 Super so you will connect your monitor to your GPU and not on the motherboard and you wont have any problem to run it at 144Hz with display port.

This is the max resolution your CPU integraded graphics can support (HDMI 4096x2304 @24 Hz DP 4096x2304 @60 Hz eDP 4096x2304 @60 Hz ) . You listed that you have an 2080 Super so you will connect your monitor to your GPU and not on the motherboard and you wont have any problem to run it at 144Hz with display port.
