[SOLVED] Can I build my pc until my RAM arrives?

So I ordered some RAM that will arrive this Monday, i have the rest of the parts on hand. Can I build the rest of the system early so when the ram arrives i can just put it in and boot the PC?

Yes you can. Why not?
But when you boot PC, you will not get into bios because you wont have ram, it may give you post code FF.

Spend your time reading the case and motherboard manuals, cover to cover.


I know you are anxious, but be patient.
I would plan on assembling the basic parts outside of the case first so it is easier to test things.
Download memtest86 to a usb stick in preparation.
It gives you a quick test to basic functionality.
You could also mount the processor and cooler.
