Hey Guys,

I am wanting to OC my CPU, I've seen online that you can combfortably get the i7-9700k to 5GHz

Here is my setup:

Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS
i7-9700k + Corsair Water cooling
16GB DDR4
MSI 3080
1 24" 1440p monitor
1 21" 1080p Monitor
2 SSD's
1 HDD
EVGA SuperNova G1 750w PSU - https://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Modular-Warranty-120-GP-0750-X1/dp/B0797HL9Z4

I am wanting to OC my CPU only, not looking to do anything with the 3080, for now at least, just not sure if my PSU is ok to do this with or if I should get a new one before doing so.

Oh sorry you're right! just added it to main post now.
No worries mate, yeah you're good to go, would recommend Intel's Extreme tuning utility, it's an auto OC utility that is truly handy, especially if you're a beginner at OC, but even for people with experience it's very convenient

You forgot to mention your motherboard, which is really the most important aspect in OC on an intel chip, it has to be a Z series Mobo, and that PSU is WELL and beyond what you might ever need to OC that CPU

OK nice, I will see if my mobo has that on it and give it a go, thanks :)
