The Family PC (the PC where every member of the family is using) has better cpu than my PC
i want to swap the motherboard or the cpu since they are in a same generation
i just dont know if it is possible or whatever
what are the things i need to prepare before the swapping of components?

Family PC: i5 6400
My PC (old lenovo PC): i3 6100

Swapping just CPU and it's cooler should do since both use same socket.

if you never done this before you need to be careful taking the cpu out of the socket and changing it so you dont damage it. for better cooling you need to change the thermal paste on top of the cpu. You could possibly swap them
without changing paste but if you do this you will get better temp.
how to remove . also clean the bottom part of the heatsink before you put on the new thermal paste.

how to put on the new paste , you could also us a credit card or similar to smear the paste out evenly over the cpu or do it like in this video.

are you changing the hard drive to? does your heatsinks use screws or pushpin?
if they use screws you obviously use a screwdriver to remove them. if using pushpins turn them counterclockwise to release them. then lift heatsink up .
this can be done with screwdriver or with hand.
you should do this in a cross pattern, first one on side then the opposite one
on the other side. this goes for both push pins and screws.
before reinstalling pushpins heatsink turn them back to original position.

ok just remember to do it in a cross pattern when you release the push pins . you should possibly be able to swap the ram. if it dont work just put it back. make sure Power Cable is disconnected Before doing anything.
Before reseating the cooler turn the pins back to original locked position then you will be able to just push down when putting it back in.
