hello guys,
this is my current specs
amd ryzen 5 1600
Zotac gtx 1060 6GB
16 gb ddr4 ram
Asus prime b350 plus mobo
Antec vp550p PSU
Lg 27-inch 1080p monitor

I have been using this pc mostly for AAA and esports gaming for almost 7 years now thanks to GTX 1060. But it's time to upgrade my system.
I want to upgrade to an RTX 3060 ti now and due to budget issues will upgrade my CPU to either an i5 12400F or r5 5600x and mobo later, But I want to ask you can I buy a 3060 ti and use it with my Ryzen 5 1600 and Antec psu ?
I want to run some new AAA games like god of war, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and Hogwarts legacy smoothly.
I know I will face some bottlenecking but due to some budget issues can't upgrade everything at once. and If I do that are there going to be any problems I will face until I upgrade?
Please help guys and will wait for the reply .

650W is fine. Quality is most important thing.

Tier B is as low as I would go for a GPU like this. Anything lower, I'd skip the GPU upgrade.

Ok i'll look for gold rated one from the list. Buy what about the cpu ? Is it ok to run with 3060ti right now until i upgrade it later?

As stated above, I want to stress again, PSU Wattage matters, but QUALITY is more important. I would trust a top notch 550W PSU more than a cheap, unknown 800W unit. Get one with decent wattage, but make sure it is a good quality unit as well, not just the cheapest high watt unit you can find.

The R5-1600 will botteneck an RTX 3060 Ti. An RTX 3090 Ti with an R7-1800X (which is a faster CPU than the R5-1600) loses to an i9-10900K with an RX 6600 because the CPU just can't keep up.
For an RTX 3060 Ti, I would recommend that you upgrade your CPU to an R5-5600. They're pretty cheap right now and you can use your existing motherboard. You just have to do some BIOS updates.

Thanks everyone, I went to the local store to discuss about this too he also said the same to upgrade to a newer psu at least a 750w one. There are many options but I think I'll go for the gigabyte 750 80 plus gold one. Then he also said to upgrade GPU and PSU first then later CPU and mobo. But I didn't know that my current mobo can support r5 5600 or 5600x. I thought it only support upto ryzen 3000 series
So if I just upgrade only my CPU later then it will actually save me some more money to get a 16 gb ram stick also. Are you guys sure that it won't cause any issues later if I only change cpu now?
I was actually looking at the support section of my Asus b350 mobo it says it can support a ryzen 5 3600 and ryzen 5 5600 too. How to update my bios ? How its done can you guys tell me ? There is something called flashing the motherboard which I have no idea if its safe or not . I don't want to risk it . My mobo can support upto 3000 series. So if I dont go for intel i5 then I only have to change my CPU a few months later to r5 5600 or r5 3600 I don't really have to change my complete system all over unnecessarily. Probably in future I'll change to a new mobo with a higher CPU one.

Your manual will tell you how to flash your bios, but it's pretty simple. I have your same motherboard and it's been upgraded twice from the 1600x, 3700x & 5700x.

You will need a reliable USB flash drive to download the new bios to. Then you go into bios and follow the instructions in the manual

Tell us the EXACT model of Gigabyte power supply you're considering, because it might be one of the exploding ones..

Probably from these 3. I can't surely tell which model but they are priced almost same.
some alternative ones are below

I was opting for the Zotac one but sadly it's not available here only 3060 is available, no Ti. And other cards are higher in price.

So please share some experiences with me about this. Lots to choose but considering the budget I'll choose one of them.

so I upgraded my gpu to zotac 3060ti oc and for future upgrades in mind change smps to 850w xpg core reactor. but the main problem i am facing now is my ups is apc 1100va with 660w output and its not starting my pc when i plug in. and due to frequent power cut in my area ups a must use.and i can't change my ups too my budget is gone now. so do i have to exchange my 850w to get a good 650 w smps ? any suggestions?
