Hi guys, as the title says, can i use HyperX Fury RGB 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit on a msi b365m pro-vh which supports DDR4 32 GB 2666/2400/2133 MHz?

Memory typeDDR4
Maximum Memory32 GB
Number of slots2
TechnologyDual channel
Supported Frequencies2666/2400/2133 MHz

I should mention that I already have that mobo and am looking to upgrade from 8 to 32gb mostly for Microsoft Flight Sim and Cyberpunk at night and some video editing. If it matters i have a i5 9400 cpu and a 2080ti.

Here are the links to the mobo and ram kit

The reason why i m asking is that google says i can but when i checked here, this mem kit is not listed.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Bah, miss 1 little word.. Lol. But same realistically applies. The 9400 runs at 2666MHz by default, but there's no OC available, so it's going to be highly dependent on the bios. Some bios updates add further jedec table info allowing for faster ram settings, some do not. So you'll get 2666MHz, but whether bios allows xmp or manual settings higher than that I don't know.

If you have a Ryzen, no reason why it won't run at 3200MHz, you may need to manually set the speed/timings, but ppl have been running 3200MHz on those boards since the Ryzen 1000 cpus. The 2666/2400/2133 is the official memory controller default speeds, and almost all ram (now) faster than 2666 will run at 2933MHz with a Ryzen. You shouldn't need to update the bios, depending on the manufacture date of the mobo, but it won't hurt to bring it current, with the current Agesa instruction sets.

It's only on the A320 motherboards and their locked bios that have serious issues with faster ram.

i mentioned in the thread that i have a i5 9400 cpu, that means it is intel, not amd (ryzen) ...
