[SOLVED] Can I use my old Power Supply cable on my new Power Supply?

Power cord (16A 250V) that came with power supply doesn't fit my country's socket. Can I use my old power cord (10A 250V) on my new PSU?

My Corsair RM750 came with a power cable that has an incompatible socket type, I cannot mount it on any of my wall sockets.

On the new PSU cable, the socket-end of the cable says "16A, 250V", and the PSU-end says "10A, 250V".

On my older PSU cable, the socket-end of the cable says "10A, 250V", and the PSU-end says "10A, 250V".

There is a 6A difference between both socket-ends. But both PSU ends have the same 10A 250V rating. What does this 6A difference mean?

Will it be safe to use the old PSU cable on my new RM750 PSU? Will there be any issues?

Your old cable will be fine, what is important is max current that the PSU will draw... with a 750W output from 240V, that is only ~ 3.13 amps, even if you assume the supply is only 70% efficient in worst cases that works out at ~ 4.5A max draw if you fully load up the supply. That means you have plenty of overhead with a 10A rated cable.

i have literally used cables form watercookers, fryers etc, you'll be fine
