Howdy,
I have an Acer Predator G3-710
And I've recently discovered that it can be possible to use a dual monitor setup using integrated graphics alongside a graphics card. I started following the steps and I realized how outdated my bios is(My options for using integrated graphics was also grayed out and I couldn't make any changes)
Anyway I wanted to update my bios, so i went to the Acer website, put in my computer model and downloaded the update file. On Acer's video they immediately got a ZIP file with an exe inside. The download for mine was 3 folders and Executables that didn't open at all, I figured they would need to be put onto a bootable usb drive, so I did just that and my computer didn't recognise it as a bootable usb. Do i need to use an application like rufus to get the computer to recognise it and flash my bios, or am I doing it all wrong?

I would appreciate any input <3

Use CPU-Z or take a picture of your BIOS screen to show us which BIOS version you're currently on. Also, did you make sure that you didn't jump to the latest BIOS version and worked to the nearest BIOS version that was a step above your current BIOS? You might want to try and install the update(if you're sure it's the right version for the desktop's motherboard as the wrong BIOS can brick the entire system) in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

See I had no idea you had to update in increments like that, It would be the correct bios update since its directly from the acer support site where I told the website what computer it is. I tried looking at the version just above my current version and its the same story, no executable after extracting, just 3 folders again.
