Question Can't change settings for AC Valhalla. It's always locked to Optimal ?

Dear all,

Have recently bought the Omen 15, with the following specs

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics 2.90 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable)
OS: Windows 10 Home
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

Problem: When I launch the game, the settings are always at 'High' and the screen is set to 'Borderless' with 60Hz refresh rate. My Laptop has a refresh rate of 144 Hz. As far as I understand, its a sufficiently powerful laptop to handle games like Valhalla on Very High settings as well. When I change the settings to Very high with refresh rate to 144, the game asks for a restart(which is usual). However, the game restarts and I go to settings, it has again reset to High with 60 Hz and Borderless window setting.

Anything I am doing wrong and not using the power settings properly? Will be very grateful for any help on this.

PS: This is my first gaming laptop and always play with the charger plugged in.

what settings are you using in nvidia?

In 'Adjust image Settings with preview' - Use AdvManage 3Dance 3d Image Setting

Manage 3D setting - Preferred Graphic Processor - High Performance NVIDIA Processor
with Power management set to 'prefer maximum performance'
