Can't Defrag

Hi

I am trying to Defrag my hard drive and am getting an error message popping up.
Never had this before?
I am using XP Pro.

Any ideas why?

are you doing anything else at the same time when this happens?

done a fresh reboot and tried again?

checked to have other programs disabled while defragging?
