Can't install programs unless under admin

So I can't install my adobe acrobat pro unless I'm logged in under admin.
Any idea how I can do this to my other account?
This happens with multiple programs, not just adobe.
I am running windows xp Pro

It sounds like your user account doesn't have administrator rights.

Use your admin account to give administrator rights to your other user account.

How do I do that?

start-->control panel-->user accounts-->change a user account-->change your other user account to an administrator account.
