Can't install Windows on my SSD/new build

*sigh* it seems my new build just doesn't want to work easily...
My SSD is Crucial m4 series, 256 GB.

I have a copy of windows XP 64 bit, and a copy of Win 7 64 upgrade from XP version - home premium familiy edition.

Now back at my two other rigs, I had to install in the following way (on my HDD):
Install windows XP, finish installation until you reach the desktop.
Restart, boot from DVD.
Install Windows 7 64 bit Home premium
Choose CUSTOM install.

It always worked perfectly.

Now my Asus Sabertooth Z77 bios is set to AHCI mode - for SATA by default - I know I need this for optimal SSD.
When I try to install windows - in the blue install screenafter booting from DVD - I get a BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!
The BSOD happens every time, just a moment after "windows is starting up".

It happened twicealready, I don't want to screw my drive.

Is it laggy when it has 'logged on'?

No its stuck on the colorful windows icon appearing from the darkness loading screen. before the Welcome you know.

Ok.......now it works fast again...

Ok I tried using win cleanup to remove the old windows installation. It might have helped.
but now I'm afraid to go again for the dvd driver, it install some CISCO plugins with it, like 3 more things EMP something..

Hey man, right now I have internet.. although strangly enough, it runs on 120 mbs, instead of 150 mbs that I used to see on my old rig, any idea why?

Also, one last thing for tonight, cuz I have to sleep.....
Shold I cancel system restore with m SSD, or should I leave it on the default: its now one only 4%, meaning 10 GB total of space for restore points.

I am using windows update now.

You can try putting the installation file on a usb - http://global.level1.com/downloads.php?modelstr1=WUA&modelstr2=0603

Well system restore is useful when you system goes bad so if its causing no problems then leave it.

Windows update? , if you are installing updates remember to use disk clean up afterwards.

Not sure about the speed difference....

Ok I will check speed test later tomorrow.
And will perform cleanup, I also shut down Defrag schedule and won't defrag at all.
Jay, you have no idea how greatful I am.
I hope everything turns out ok.
right now windows is installing like 93 updates, I didn't see SP1 among them though.
Only framework SP1, so maybe if it won't come out in win up, I will DL stand alone SP?

Anyway, thanks alot for your amazing help, without you I would have gone mad right now. You're the man.

On the right there should be a colomn, if not, a few spaces down under your name it should say unhide or show the right colomn, click on that.....
