Got a celeron 1.2 I'm gonna pull from my dad's old HP. That mobo has no agp slot, so I'm in the market for a refurb.

Best I can find out is that it must be Tualatin core, socket 370. Haven't seen any other flavor of 1.2 chip.

A little research says the Asus CUV4X-M is the best mobo (an old THG article). I wanna OC it, does this mobo have a pci/agp lock? EDIT: I noticed it's a Micro ATX and don't need that. Back to square one.

What do you guys think? Is this the best mobo for that chip. Will be a third gaming rig, gotta an old G2 GTS I wanna use.

Thanks,

Hmm, I'd suggest an old BX board, because they perform better. Even with AGP2x they'll provide better performance for your GF2 GTS than any other chipset.

Oh, BTW, a BX chipset board would need a Tualatin to Slot 1 adapter. And the CUV4X-M would require a Tualatin socket-to-socket adapter. And I'd avoid trash all together, if you can find a TUSL2-M (which wouldn't require an adapter). That would be just a bit slower than a BX board.

Hey Crashman
It has been long, but I finaly grab off a Celeron 1.3GHz Tualatin from eBay, and buy a Upgradeware Slot-T, I plugged it into the Abit BF6 with latest Bios
geez, I haven't overclock it yet, but i see a huge performance jump from Celeron 500MHz
