so can i simply put a 'centrino' mobile processor into a laptop which is currently running a northwood celeron which has a chipset that is part of the centrino family (intel 855GM/E)?
I know that the chips FSB (400MHz) is supported by my m/b and so is the socket (478).
so.... what about voltages? What controls the voltage that is put to the processor? because the current celeron will most probably have a different voltage to to pentium m i want to throw in there - so will this be safe?
BTW the motherboard is an ACER Travelmate 240 with i855GM/E chipset.
