Hello guys,

Due to my stupidity, I tried to replace my old cpu without updating the bios and got a black screen (full black screen not even the bios or gygabyte sign on the screen). So I thought putting back in the old one would solve the issue but the computer still won't start (Blackscreen still cant even access the bios):

PC Spec :

Old cpu : Ryzen 5 1600
New : Ryzen 7 5800x

Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-ab350 gaming 3
GPU : MSI 1070 TI
RAM G-skills 2 x 8GB 2666

What I have tried:
  • Remove battery (CMOS).
  • Remove all cable and reconnect them mutliples times.
  • Tried both cpu multiple time ! with the old one the led "dram" is turned on with the new one the led 'cpu' is on. ( picture below) .
  • Inspect pins on both cpu.
  • every ram slot/order (one or two).

Also all the led (gpu/power/motherboard) and fans are working just nothing on my monitor ( I tried two different monitors too).

Thank you a lot for reading this and if you have any kind of clue don't hesitate !
