hello..
i have two os in my pc. one is windows xp SP2 on C🙁primary) and windows XP SP3 is on E: My question is, can i change my E: to primary? cause the XP SP2 got some problem(partially installed SP3- cant restore SP2) and i want to format it. thanks 4 ur time. 😀

Its likely that "E:" is already a primary partition. You want to make it bootable. If E: is an entire physical HDD than you would just have to change the boot order in BIOS. If that's not the case, then you would need to edit your boot.ini file (on the root of C:). type in "msconfig" in the run command, this is the easiest way to make the change. There is a parameter here that tells windows what partition to boot from, which maybe set to 1, change it to 2.

example: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

where partition is (1), change it to (2).
or if its a different disk, change disk(0) to disk(1).

good luck.
