aah, Saturday night and theres modding afoot,
Heres some old Hs that was knocking about the place

Bout forty minutes later I had developed a hatred towards Hs manufacturers that I fear will last some time

And at last I have my plate for the coldside of the Tec, bit of cleaning with the dremel but its going to help put the cold into the H20 in the box

The prongs will be bent into the shape I want later on.but not a bad way to spend an hour of an evening

Well I've no job atm dude so buying a water block or big copper Hs isn't an option so I'm slapping that to to the coldside of the 154w tec and that will help transfer the icicles to the watercles 🙂
it also makes routing a little easier to deal with for now as the flow into the box will agitate the mass then the semi submerged res/pump can just push it to the Cpu block back in the main case,
later on when funds allow I'll grab a copper block and remove the internal flow pins because I seem to recall you had issues with a block icing up on you?
Need to research a bit a find a rheostat I can alter the tec voltage with as I'm pretty sure the fancontrollers I have lying about won't be up to it but to begin with I'll just have to settle for adjusting the fan over the hotside Hs to exert a litte control, keep the rpms up to limit it a bit and drop them to allow the tec to heat/cool a bit more and find the sweetspot 🙂
And I'm well aware that this isn't going to be my prettiest work lol
Still above average cooling, that ain't much Sir.....Its enough 🙂
Its going to be wierd not having the radbox on the desk anymore though, I think the Pc will feel small for a time 🙂

This may well be my final post from this Pc lol, I've been running with just the Rx 240 for a week or two and although it can just about cope (35'C as I'm typing this) You know I want lower temps and a stupid overclock ain't gonna stabilise itself so...
Adding a second pump/res which is going to be submerged at least partially in the chillerbox,
chillerbox will be filled with boiled domestic water and put to work, I'm altering the Chiller slightly though,
Going to add a 120 over the hotsides Hs on a controller to allow me to vary the cooling on the Tec, that should allow tweakage to avoid condomsation issues, and once its looking like its working I'll be hitting the 4.7GHz attempt again, This also means I need to swap to my old monitor as the 32" doesn't display my bios properly and I never got to finding out why so
TLDR?
975be@4.7GHz 2x 6950's at stock on an Rx240 and a Chillerbox, Cover me chaps, I'm going in....

filled the chiller with about 8L of housewater and the res is completely submerged ooops 😛 could trim the tubing a bit but meh....
water is at 9.4'c according to the temp sensor in there and room temp is 25.2'C
Idling at 34'C on stock so I'm going to see what I can do to bring that down before I go clocking, lets get that water to 3-5'C and see how we go...
@Ryan, knew you would have mate, Thanks :)

Looking forward to these results! Wish I could see the photos, stupid work computer.

Furthest I ever got with my 955 was 4.4Ghz stable. That chip is gonna be a modern day contender at 4.7-5.0Ghz range, good luck!

Well things seem to have hit a wall for some reason, 4.5GHz was fine with idle of 38'C but 4.7GHz wanted 1.6v+ and the current setup isn't going to handle it, 55'C idle and death if I tried doing anything stressful like opening a browser lol,
I'm thinking a total redesign is in order, less mass would cool quicker so maybe putting the pelt on the reservoir is an option, Money is what I need, money and a toolshed...

Moto, are you running stock N/B on your 4.5Ghz+ attempts? That was the only way I was able to stablize 4.4Ghz on the 955 back when I had it and it took a load voltage of 1.64vcore, my temps stayed in check with the max being 50C full load.

And money, I wish I had some more of that too! I can only imagine the kind of crazy stuff that could be built if we were all rich 😀

Well somethings going well lol, Nice little Crysis3 sesh today and after shutting it down I'm very pleased to see my chips are at a nice low 36'C so the submerged res is definitely doing its job lol, Upcoming is a total rebuild though, The Case is being retired and I'm going for a deskmod that involves the T-Viruses going through the desktop amongst other things, You all know me hehe, no such thing as 'standard'

Theres also a nice mod thread where a guy has a Haf X with some issues, I'm planning on him cutting holes in his window and fabbing some shrouding up, you know, the usuall hehe
:)
New job starting Tuesday my friend, Money will be slow to arrive but you know this rebuilds gonna get pretty interesting hehe
Define 'interesting...'

Got me a cigarbox thats getting screwed to the desktop, inside will be Fp switches/usb ports, fancontroller and possibly an ashtray,
Switches will control power button and reservoir functions, (Oscillatory mod and cathodes)
I'm going to build a Bond villains desk haha
