One quick question since nobody wants to answer my other post.Do chipset drivers actually improve performance.Someone told me this:
“Chipset drivers shouldn’t be touched no, those are the drivers for your motherboard. Unless you are installing some new hardware like a new cpu or gpu that requires a higher version of your motherboard then you will need to update it. In this case no don’t touch it your computer is already operating fine.”
So what do you guys get from that?

It can possibly be the game or a malware. But my pc is not running slow.Going to run an msi benchmark test
Edit:And the Fortnite update is garbage.Everybody is arguing about fps drops and stutters. So now my drops get worse.

Think it's best to do a clean install of the latest Win 10 build then. We'll start fresh and go from there.

It's easy to do and won't need a serial key, Win10 activate again once online.

Instructions how to use media creation tool and install Win10.

Another alternative is download iso (May 2019) and use Rufus to mount iso and configure usb.

Iso:

Rufus:

Rufus, mount iso, select partition GPT and format fat32 then click start.

Disconnect your ssd before booting from usb stick and installing Windows.

Yeah it's full wipe & reinstall. Drivers for motherboard Win10 will have. Only driver need to get is for the graphics card.

Either get a usb stick at least 8GB size for 64bit Windows. Or try use your external ssd. If the ssd uses usb, should work.

In the meantime try the update anyway. I prefer fresh installs but the update might fix stuff. Who knows, Fortnite's update may be related to user's who are on the latest Win10 build.

If update doesn't work straight away, try reset this pc.
