One quick question since nobody wants to answer my other post.Do chipset drivers actually improve performance.Someone told me this:
“Chipset drivers shouldn’t be touched no, those are the drivers for your motherboard. Unless you are installing some new hardware like a new cpu or gpu that requires a higher version of your motherboard then you will need to update it. In this case no don’t touch it your computer is already operating fine.”
So what do you guys get from that?

Also, should I create a backup if anything happens?
Win10 will create a restore point if something happens.

So I go to their website.Select my gpu.And install? And run as admin?

Yes, geforce.com/driver, run the driver as administrator.

In the installer

Probably going to reset pc tomorrow.Do I do a factory reset(delete all files) or keep all files. And when I download my gpu drivers,do I use geforce experience or go to their website?

It's good to run any driver as administrator so any windows security prevention doesn't intrude however small.

Can use Geforce Experience but i prefer manually installing drivers from the link i gave.

Setting priority does next to nothing.

Try factory reset. Chipset / lan and maybe audio. Really depends what Win10 installs you'll probably be fine.

Oh,well i dont know then.
You also missed this question.Factory Reset or reset with files?

You're worrying about this way too much. Just install chipset, lan, audio, sata from Asus's website then install Nvidia graphics driver and be done with it.

Im happy to help but you know give me some slack here, there's been a lot of questions. Yes i missed that question im sorry. Reset with files i suppose.

I really dont mean it.Its just i am very nervous.I didnt bought my pc.My grandma gave 950$ for my 15th birthday and I dont want to lose something that is not even mine.Dont wanna upset her so I am trying to do everything I can to make her happy and proud of me.

Oh.I also saw that you are working on snother thread
https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/how-do-i-fix-stuttering-with-i7-2600k.3506100/#post-21195528

He is basically having same problem as me.Fps drops/Stutters.Why are you telling me to reset my pc but him not.
(Not saying that you are a scam or anything like that)

Everyone has different problems. His problem is to do with frame rates. Since cpu has to prerender frames his cpu isn't keeping up unless he caps fps. That's his issue as of now. Overclocking may help his situation.

Regards to your system, it's quite a mess. With using programs to eliminate processes etc, starting thread with chipset drivers which lead to completely different issue. Little confusing ;P Not sure what else you've done here. A clean slate of the operating system is a good start.

If we can get that done, Windows is fresh and drivers installed correctly then we'll see where we're at. Because i do have some upgrade suggestions concerning your ram. Ryzen benefits dual channel memory, running 2x 8gb would quicken your cpu quite a bit. Haven't goten to this stage yet because of everything else going on in this thread and also since you said your system was running fine once, it can get there again. Just need to sort out your Windows :)

All good, just go through the suggestions here. Start with resetting your computer with files. Install those drivers from Asus and then install Nvidia. You wont mess anything up.
