Question Chipsets?

One quick question since nobody wants to answer my other post.Do chipset drivers actually improve performance.Someone told me this:
“Chipset drivers shouldn’t be touched no, those are the drivers for your motherboard. Unless you are installing some new hardware like a new cpu or gpu that requires a higher version of your motherboard then you will need to update it. In this case no don’t touch it your computer is already operating fine.”
So what do you guys get from that?

No.Fortnite’s new update was about Xbox performance and pc performance.And that you need DirectX11 to run fortnite.I was having problems like 4 days before the update.And like I have said.I dont know 98.99 % of my drivers.So if I reset the pc I might have a lot of missing drivers.Wich sucks for me.And how could this pc be having problems.Its just 3 months old

And regarding your PM, msi afterburner benchmark won't do anything harmful if not overclocking your gpu. Those adding too much volts to their cards i say good luck to them 🙄

Fair enough. Make sure Win10 is updated. Check device manager for the list of devices. If there aren't any explanation marks !, then all drives are installed.

Have you reinstalled Geforce driver's yet?

Checking if you have,

Do manual search and enter fields. Download latest driver.

After download, right click the installer and run as administrator. Once driver launches, click custom (advanced). Check clean install box and let it do it's thing.

Is the game ready driver the best one?

Yeah Nvidia calls all its drivers game ready, grab the latest version top of the list. The rest are older drivers.

Did the search to see, i seen some studio driver there. Get the game ready 431.60 driver.

Inwas using something called Nsudo to disable things that ran in the backround not needed.And I am pretty sure it disabled updates.I can update but its taking ages.It started with “Pending” Then with “Waiting for Installation”Then “Downloading” and now “Installing”And they never take this long.

Nope.Talking about windows updates.Its been like 35 mins already

Is there a way to check what my drivers are.And is my bios going to be there or do I also have ro install it?

In device manager are list of devices and drivers, everything is there.

The bios is part of the motherboard and shouldn't need to do anything with it besides maybe setting boot order to usb if it doesn't do that automatically when installing Windows.

Like I have been saying this whole time.I have been paranoid of reseting this pc.Im 99% sure I will miss most drivers and make my pc worse

No lol, most if not all those drivers Win10 has them covered. Nothing to worry about 😀 !

If anything, ANYTHING 😀 you need to worry about is the chipset and lan driver from the motherboard's website. But since Win10 is newer than your system, i wouldn't worry about them either.

Geforce drivers is the only driver you'll need to install.

But to make things easier, here are the drivers for your motherboard. Just select which Windows and youll get a list of drivers.

If it's making progress we'll see. Taking a long time though.

Back to drivers again, in the list given by Asus, ignore bios, vga, utilities, bios utilities. The main drivers are Chipset, Lan, Audio and Sata. That's if Windows 10 doesn't install those but think it will. In any case should you need the Lan driver for the internet to work, that'll be the most important as you can grab the rest later. Again, Win10 will probably have no trouble installing everything itself.
