Question Choosing correct 12 pin power cable for Gpu

Hi, I would like to know which 12 pin cable I need for my graphics card.

I have

GameMax RPG Rampage 850W Semi-Modular Power Supply 80 Plus Bronze​

B450 steel legend motherboard

with

Rtx 3060 12Gb Gaming Graphics Card​

The PSU doesn't come with a 12VHPWR connector for the GPU + you might want to also know the pinout on the PSU's are not the same, meaning you can't use another brand's 12VHPWR connector and plug it into your unit.

Got a link to the card you're eyeing the purchase? You should get an adapter in the box for the GPU.

You don't need 12pin power cable for this card.
This card uses 8pin PCIE power connector.

Performance is not a lot better.
You'd get ~ 40-50% more fps with RTX 3060
(so if you had 50fps before, now it would be ~75fps).

IMHO gpu upgrade starts making sense, when you can get at least 2x more fps.

Assuming your old card used an 8 pin connector, then yes they will be the same...nothing has changed in many years on the 6 and 8 pin PCIe connectors.
