My question is whether the device would word through walls as long as it is within the specified range of the device.

never heard of that particular keyboard.

my old rf wireless (not bluetooth) keyboard worked through walls... up to 50 feet away. it was a logitech mx1000 set kb.

i've heard that some newer perepherals are much more limited on range, my guess would be the bluetooth models.
