Recently (for no apparent reason) my computer has been acting up and crashing upon launch of programs, games etc. The crashes are similar to that of a power cut, all fans stop spinning and all screens go black, then the pc reboots back to the login screen. I tried to run the pc with the GPU out on the intel integrated graphics and programs dont cause a crash however there is screen lines and tears in games and menus. I initially thought the issue was the PSU however now I am not sure.
CPU: intel 17-4790
GPU: ASUS STRIX GTX 960
Mobo: MSI z97 gaming 5
PSU: Corsair VS650 (older version with orange "VS" text)
if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
with and without the GPU the computer still functions fine with regular browsing and use etc.
